What is Ready SET Health?

This research study provides eligible participants with a free 4-month internet-based weight loss program designed specifically for women between the ages of 18 and 25. Researchers are interested in how stress, emotions, and thinking might affect your success in meeting your goals for healthy living.
What will I be doing?
If you are eligible and want to participate, you will be asked to:
- Visit us in person so that we can measure things like your weight, height and blood pressure. We will also draw blood so that we can analyze your stress and insulin levels. These visits will take place at 500 Academic Centre (1020 West Grace Street) once before you begin the program and once after you complete the program.
- Complete a 16-week (4-month) program that focuses on making changes to your diet and exercise in order to help you lose weight and improve your health. The program is entirely online—the first session is a group Zoom video meeting with your coach, and then after that you will receive weekly content through a secure program website and personalized feedback from your coach via email in order to help you meet your goals.
- Use your phone to respond to mini-surveys throughout the day during 4 weeks of the program
